Ratings: 4.1 against 4.6

The three leaders average 4.1 on Google; the other 57 listings on the board average 4.6. Here the rating is not what separates them, so the work is the profile and the pages behind it.

Review volume: a median of 318 against 377

The typical leader here has a lower Google review count (318) than the typical listing behind it (377): review volume alone is not what puts a pin in the three.

“weed near me” is a different race

Only 5 listings hold a top-three spot for “weed near me” in Lake County, against 53 for “dispensary near me”; David P. Weed, Social shows in its top three on 99.5% of the map. A store that ranks for one search can be missing from another, so the guarantee is written to a keyword set, not a single phrase.

The three leaders hold 31.4% of every top-three slot

60 listings hold top-three positions in Lake County, and the first three on the board take 31.4% of them, averaged over every point we read. Everyone else splits what is left.

Who holds the most of Lake County's Google Maps top three?

David P. Weed, Social: it shows in the top three on 33.2% of the 766 map squares we measured in Lake County, across all three searches. Green Dragon Cannabis (22.1%) and AYR Cannabis Dispensary Clermont (21.4%) follow. This board is dated October 28, 2026.

Who leads each search in Lake County?

It depends on the search. “dispensary near me”: AYR Cannabis Dispensary Clermont (30.7%); “cannabis near me”: Green Dragon Cannabis (39.5%); “weed near me”: David P. Weed, Social (99.5%). The same listing rarely leads all three, which is why a ranking plan covers a keyword set rather than one phrase.

Is my Lake County store on these pages?

All 9 stores on our list in Lake County have a page: each shows the store's address and website, its position at 121 points around its door for every search, who holds the top three there, who beats it most often, and how it moves from round to round. The city pages list them all: Clermont, Eustis, Fruitland Park, Lady Lake and Leesburg.

What counts as a lead-gen listing?

We tag a listing lead-gen when its name is spelled with lookalike letters; when the same dispensary-style name sits on three or more listings at different addresses that carry next to no reviews; or when a dispensary-style listing that is not on our store list borrows another company’s brand, or has next to no reviews and a short link for its website or a tagged network’s name. Real chains are excepted, and a check by hand can add the tag to a listing or take it off. Tagged listings stay on every board in the position Google gives them, because shoppers see them there. In Lake County, tagged listings hold 0% of every top-three slot across the three searches.

How is the share of the map in the top three measured?

We read Google Maps at 121 points around each store on our list, for each search, and place every reading in a map square about a quarter mile on a side. A store’s share is the part of an area’s measured squares where it shows in the top three, counting a square in part when it holds the spot in only some of the readings there. The combined board averages the three searches. Overlapping grids are counted once per square, so a busy downtown does not count twice. The full method: how we measure.

How often is this board updated?

Every scan round re-reads every store's grid, and every page here is rebuilt from the readings; the first round is dated October 24, 2026. This board's readings are dated October 28, 2026.
