Tagged lead-gen listings hold 1.3% of New York's “weed near me” top-three slots
We tag a listing lead-gen when its name is spelled with lookalike letters; when the same dispensary-style name sits on three or more listings at different addresses that carry next to no reviews; or when a dispensary-style listing that is not on our store list borrows another company’s brand, or has next to no reviews and a short link for its website or a tagged network’s name. Real chains are excepted, and a check by hand can add the tag to a listing or take it off. Tagged listings stay on every board in the position Google gives them, because shoppers see them there.
Every one of those slots is a shopper looking for a dispensary who was shown that listing first. Dispensary SEO is how we take them for you: the profile, then the pages your shoppers type, then citations that match.

Every slot is one your store does not hold
Whoever holds a top-three spot, a shopper who taps it was shown that listing before yours. The answer is the same as for any rival: a stronger profile, pages that answer the search, and citations that match, until your pin sits above it.
Who builds the websites that rank
Who builds and markets New York's dispensary websites, against how those stores rank.
For each firm credited on store websites here: the share of its stores' own grids where they show in the Google Maps top three, their share of the county map beside it, and the load time of their sites (Largest Contentful Paint from Google's PageSpeed Insights: real Chrome visits where Google has them, beside its lab test on a simulated slow phone). A website credit says who built the site; it does not show who does the store’s Google Maps work. A county’s top three is shared by every listing on its board, so a store in a county with hundreds of listings holds a smaller share of its county than one in a county with a dozen: county shares are not comparable across counties of different size. Firms are ordered by the share of their stores’ own grids in the top three instead, the same measure in every county. Detection reads what a store’s homepage says in public: a credit in its footer (“Website by …”, “Marketing by …”) or a vendor’s signature in its code. The credit’s own words set the role: a site, design or “powered by” credit is the website; only a marketing or SEO credit is marketing. A firm that credits no one does not show up, so a firm can be missing from these numbers.

05
How is the share of the map in the top three measured?
We read Google Maps at 121 points around each store on our list, for each search, and place every reading in a map square about a quarter mile on a side. A store’s share is the part of an area’s measured squares where it shows in the top three, counting a square in part when it holds the spot in only some of the readings there. The combined board averages the three searches. Overlapping grids are counted once per square, so a busy downtown does not count twice. The full method: how we measure.
06
How often is this board updated?
Every scan round re-reads every store's grid, and every page here is rebuilt from the readings; the first round is dated October 24, 2026. This board's readings are dated October 24 to 28, 2026.
